English for Professionals

This aim of this course is to equip students with the necessary communication skills for a variety of business situations.

Students will expand their business vocabulary, improve their professional writing skills and gain the confidence to speak effectively in  professional settings.


Course Details


  • Classes are interactive and student participation is encouraged.

  • Students will work both individually and in groups to complete tasks, projects and presentations.

  • Classes use a combination of business newspaper and magazine reports, video clips from the world of business and finance, audios of interviews from people in business and class discussions. 


  • Textbook - Material is taken from a range of books. It is not necessary for students to buy any textbook.

  • Reading Pack - includes reports from a range of business journals such as the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Bloomberg, among others.

  • Grammar Pack - essential grammar for business and finance contexts.
